Registration Information

  • Registration fee for all categories will be (INR) ₹1,000 for Indian candidates. (USD) 20$ for non-Indian passport holder candidates.
  • Last date of registration and video submission: 9th August 2026, 12:00AM IST. Late entries will be automatically disqualified.
  • Preliminary online results Declaration: 15th August 2026 3:00pm IST.
  • Competitors from previous Brillante editions may also re-enter the competition.
  • Competitors can enter in more than one competition type during the festival.

Special cases for intending candidates who do not fulfill the age criteria may write to competition@brillantefest.org and submit their requests. They will be notified after a decision is made by the organizers.

Brillante 6th Edition Competition Categories

  • Classical A

    Age: 11-15 years of age

    Designed for young Western classical pianists in the early stages and intermediate level of their musical journey, this category encourages the development of strong technical foundations, musical sensitivity, and confident performance. Participants are evaluated on accuracy, tone quality, rhythm, and overall musical potential.

  • Classical B

    Age: 16-21 years of age

    For developing Western classical pianists ready to explore more demanding repertoire, this category recognizes performance delivery (confidence, engagement, communication), technical facility (tonal production, instrumental control, coordination) and musical understanding and interpretation.

  • Brillante Prodigy

    Age: 10 years and below

    Designed for little maestros in-the-making. This category provides a supportive platform for exceptional young musicians to share their musical journey. Participants perform repertoire appropriate to their level, focusing on fundamental skills, musical expression, and confidence. Adjudication places emphasis not only on technical accuracy but also on musical potential, promise, and enthusiasm for learning. This category celebrates the joy of discovery and encourages young pianists as they take their first steps in performance.

  • Flying Ninja

    Age: No bar

    Flying Ninja is a thrilling speed-based piano challenge designed to test lightningfast reflexes, accuracy, and finger agility. Open to participants of all ages and levels, this exciting competition focuses on how quickly and cleanly competitors can execute any piece of their choice. Precision matters just as much as speed, making it the ultimate test of dexterity, control, and concentration

  • Jazz

    Age: No bar

    The Brillante Jazz Piano Competition celebrates creativity, individuality, and the rich traditions of jazz performance. Open to pianists of all ages, this category invites participants to showcase their skills through improvisation and development, pulse & rhythmic feel, voicing, comping, riffs & musicality, bringing it together with the needed ‘X Factor’. Competitors may present works from any jazz style, from swing and bebop to contemporary and fusion genres.

  • Brillante Dreamscape

    Age: No bar

    The Brillante Dreamscape Piano Competition is dedicated to the evocative world of contemporary new-age, ambient, and lyrical piano music. This category invites pianists to create immersive musical landscapes through expressive touch, tonal beauty, and emotional storytelling. Repertoire may include original compositions or works inspired by the styles of modern composers known for atmospheric and reflective piano writing. Performances will be judged on musical expression, sound quality, interpretation, artistry, and the ability to transport listeners into a world of imagination and emotion.
